Thasshmiera Thanabalan

Thasshmiera Thanabalan serves as the Vice President of Global Engagement (GE) for the Malaysian Students' Global Alliance (MSGA), bringing her extensive experience as a debater, student leader, and advocate for global collaboration to the forefront of her leadership role.

A seasoned debater and adjudicator, Thasshmiera has competed in and adjudicated numerous national and international debate tournaments, earning recognition for her critical thinking, eloquence, and ability to navigate complex global issues. Her success as a finalist and semifinalist, along with her role as an institutional adjudicator, reflects her deep understanding of debate strategy and adjudication standards. As an Adjudicator Officer of the Malaysia Debating Council, she actively contributes to the development and integrity of debate circuits.

Beyond debate, Thasshmiera is a member of the Moot Court Board, refining her skills in advocacy and argumentation. Her involvement in the International Committee of Debate Tournaments underscores her leadership and organizational expertise, playing a vital role in fostering intellectual discourse and cross-cultural exchange.

As Vice President of Global Engagement, Thasshmiera channels her leadership experience into strengthening MSGA’s global partnerships, cultivating relationships with member councils, and spearheading initiatives that enhance the Alliance’s global presence. With her strategic vision and passion for fostering collaboration, she stands as a key figure in advancing MSGA’s mission on the global stage.
